Who Am I?
My name is Mishine Ndigilembay, but the public knows me mainly by my stage name Sodel 1st, also written Sodel Premier. I am a gospel singer, communicator, radio host and digital specialist from Burkina Faso, with Chadian family origins.
I was born on 24 June 1981 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, into a Christian family. Since childhood, singing, faith, public speaking and the transmission of meaningful messages have held an important place in my life.
My journey brings together several worlds: gospel music, radio broadcasting, institutional communication, information technology, educational-technology training and digital services. This diversity allows me to express myself on stage, in a radio studio, in front of a camera, within an organisation or as part of a digital project.
I define myself as a communicator driven by conviction. Through my voice, my experience and my projects, I seek to share messages of peace, love, encouragement, hope and thanksgiving.

My Calling Was Born in Faith
I have been passionate about singing since childhood. I started singing at Sunday school in my church, in an environment where faith, prayer and gratitude to God occupied a central place.
Over time, I understood that music could become a way for me to bear witness, encourage people and touch hearts. My artistic voice is nourished by my experience, my faith, my challenges, my prayers and my gratitude to God.
The song “Besoin de toi Zambé” is closely connected to my personal story. I composed it in 2006, during a difficult period in my life. When things gradually became more stable, I wanted to revisit the song and share it as an expression of gratitude to God for His grace and blessings in my life.
For me, this song is therefore not only a musical work. It is also a personal testimony, a prayer and an invitation to give thanks, even after the darkest periods.
My First Recorded Project — “Besoin de Toi, Nzambé”
I presented my first maxi-single, “Besoin de Toi, Nzambé,” on 28 March 2024 in Ouagadougou during a press conference. This project belongs to the gospel music genre and is an act of thanksgiving to God.
The main track is performed in French and Lingala. Through this song, I share messages of love, peace, encouragement and gratitude to the Creator. I hope that each listener can receive this project through the lens of their own experience and find a message of hope in it.
The maxi-single includes: “Besoin de Toi, Nzambé,” featuring Mervy and Karina; “Besoin de toi,” an a cappella version; “Nzambé,” featuring Meelom and Yvet; and “Nzambé God,” an instrumental version.
At the time of its release, the project was available on CD and USB drive. To obtain the materials, listening links or information concerning distribution, I can be contacted directly using the details provided in this portfolio.
My Media Journey
I took my first steps in radio in 1993, at the age of 12, on the airwaves of Radio Évangile Développement (RED) in Burkina Faso. This first experience marked the beginning of a long relationship with the microphone, public speaking, listening and audiences.
I subsequently had the opportunity to work with several media outlets, including Radio Jam Ouaga, Wat FM and 3TV. Over the years, I learned to prepare content, host programmes, conduct interviews, interact with listeners and make messages accessible to people from different backgrounds.
Radio gave me great confidence in public speaking and taught me to listen before speaking. It also taught me the rigour, punctuality, preparation and responsibility that come with all public communication.
My Experience as a Communicator and Digital Specialist
Alongside my artistic and media career, I built professional experience in communication, information technology and information systems. In particular, I served as Communications Director and Information Systems Officer at Kastor Africa from July 2021.
In this role, I led institutional and digital communication, coordinated content and messaging, contributed to the organisation’s visibility, managed social media and ensured the flow of information between teams, media outlets, partners and external audiences.
I am also the promoter of Comitech Solutions, an initiative focused on communication, information technology and digital solutions. Through this activity, I assess needs, propose appropriate solutions, coordinate assignments and support clients in delivering their projects.
Since April 2026, I have also worked as a consultant and educational-technology trainer for Edify Burkina Faso, supporting partner schools. I assist users, facilitate the understanding of digital tools and contribute to training in the field of EdTech.
My Education and Training
After obtaining my Series C Baccalaureate in Burkina Faso in 1999, I travelled to Ghana to study information technology. My interest in communication then led me to specialise in that field.
My background includes studies and training in information technology, communication, artificial intelligence and educational technologies. Press sources mention the completion of a professional master’s degree; the exact names of the institutions, degrees and certificates can be added to the final version once the documents have been compiled.
This multidisciplinary training has taught me to understand technical issues while explaining them in simple words. This is a skill that I use in training, communication, media work and consulting activities.
What I Can Offer
Artistic performances: I can perform at worship services, gospel concerts, Christian events, ceremonies, conferences, awareness campaigns and cultural programmes. I adapt my repertoire to the context, duration and audience of each event.
Hosting and presentation: thanks to my radio experience and my microphone practice since 1993, I can host events, present ceremonies, conduct interviews, moderate panels and facilitate public meetings.
Institutional and digital communication: I can support an organisation in structuring its messages, coordinating content, managing social-media communication, engaging partners, strengthening digital visibility and highlighting its activities or impact stories.
Training and educational technology: I can contribute to training activities, user support and the explanation of digital tools, particularly in school, non-profit, faith-based and community environments.
